The Lebanese Bakery Opens Second Location In Harrods

We are very excited to announce the launch of The Lebanese Bakery in Harrods. A longtime haven for shoppers and foodies alike, to be a part of one of London’s most iconic institutions is a huge privilege and we’re confident it’ll be a long lasting and fruitful partnership for both brands.

Since bringing the incredible flavours of Lebanese cooking over to London from our original site in Beirut, The Lebanese Bakery in Covent Garden has amassed a loyal following via a mouthwatering menu made up of signature Manousheh (Lebanese flat bread) and Mouajjanet (bite sized bakes).

Innovative new additions to the Harrods menu include an incredible Beef Sharwarma Manousheh (Baharat spiced beef, tomato, pickles, parsley, tahini vinaigrette and bone marrow) and a wonderfully fresh Bottarga and Courgette Manousheh (Mediterranean mullet roe, zucchini flower, confit garlic, and pistachio).

Befitting of its luxurious setting, customers can also choose from a range of decadent add-ons exclusive to Harrods like bone marrow and truffle.

Our VP Of Operations, Scot Turner, spoke to Tatler on the launch: “Following the success of our first opening in Covent Garden we have ambitious plans for The Lebanese Bakery, and despite the current climate we are confident of our expansion. We have seen such big demand for the food concept, driven largely by the increase in popularity of Lebanese cuisine within the city and this allows us to cater for more of that demand, especially in such a renowned location. COVID has been challenging for us and the industry overall but we are looking for opportunities as they arise and will have more plans to announce soon.”

The Lebanese Bakery was created by brothers Samer and Bassam Chamoun in Beirut in 2016, before expanding to additional locations in Covent Garden and Bahrain. A further two sites are planned for Riyadh and Cairo, making the Harrods site our 4th location.

Samer commented on the opening: “As a Lebanese-born brand coming all the way from a neighbourhood in Beirut, we take pride in being in such a prestigious institution like Harrods. This will be a great opportunity to promote the Lebanese food culture and our star item the Manousheh to an exclusive and international crowd.”
